seek support for projects
We believe that you know best how your place can be developed and how it can be done in the best way. At Leader Göta älv & Säveån, associations, companies and other organizations can apply for money to develop their place. Together we develop the countryside!
Before your application
Applying for a leader project is a process and we at the leader office are with you throughout the journey. Below we have collected tips and describe what the path to a leader project can look like.
There are two types of projects:
Project support – 100% support level. Projects that have a broad public benefit and that benefit many residents and those active in the locality. The applicant is often an association or a municipality, but can also be several companies in collaboration. There is no maximum budget, this is discussed with the leader office.
Project support for companies – 70% support level. This is usually where entrepreneurs who apply end up as the project often benefits the company and provides a competitive advantage. Applicants contribute 30% of the budget and the support amount is a maximum of SEK 200,000.
Whether it is a Project Support or a Project Support for Companies, we will go through all the steps below. Contact us if you have any questions – good luck!
Leader area
We develop the countryside
Our leader area includes Ale and Lilla Edet as well as parts of Vänersborg, Trollhättan, Alingsås and Lerum. Download the map to see if you are within the area and contact us if you are unsure.

Test your idea
Can your idea become a leader project?
Running a leader project is a bit special. The focus here is on local support and collaboration. Therefore, it is good to talk to those who might be interested or involved in the project.
All Leader projects must be in line with our development strategy, which is designed for our specific area. Start by reading about our goals and areas of focus.
When you have started to shape your project idea You can test it here on the website. The test gives you quick feedback on whether you need to think about anything further.
In order for you to proceed to the application, we at the leader office would like to receive an interest stimulator. There you briefly write down your project idea and we will return with feedback.
Proxy
Apply for a power of attorney
If the applicant for the project is an association, limited liability company or trading company, you need a power of attorney to be able to make an application. Download the form and send it to the Swedish Board of Agriculture well in advance before you start an application.
Application questions
Read through the questions to be answered.
Before the authorization is in place, it may be a good idea to take a look at the questions that must be answered in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system. Most of the questions are collected in this document, it may differ slightly and additional questions may arise depending on the focus of the project. You will be given the choice of focus by us at the leader office.
Instructional video
A guide to the e-service
Leader Eastern Skåne has produced an instructional film that guides through the entire application process in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system.
Selection criteria
How is your application assessed?
The board uses set selection criteria when deciding whether a project should be granted support. It is a good idea to look through the selection criteria to know how the application is assessed. The selection criteria differ between different areas of intervention, so ask us at the office which direction the project falls into.
